We are happy to open the third exhibition by Chofu-kai. Chofu-kai is a loose gathering of artists based in the Chofu area of Tokyo. The artists are actively engaged in practices and rivalry in order to create a vibrant local art scene, through cunning use of self-staged events and stealth marketing. There is no Fuchu Art Museum, no Setagaya Art Museum, no Mitaka City Gallery of Art and no Kawasaki City Museum. But we have Tazukuri and Tokyo Art Museum and above all, Chofu-kai!
