Recycled (2008)
Recycled brought together Danger Museum’s major past works in one gallery for the first time. Rather than a formal retrospective, the artists and curator Kyongfa Che treated it as a project to re-contextualise each piece within the UKS gallery in Oslo, focusing on photographic, collage, and tableau works.

Danger Museum’s new work drew on tatebanko, a 17th-century Japanese paper diorama tradition depicting Kabuki scenes. Expanding their collage practice, they used it to recycle images from specific sites into subtle commentaries. Their version enclosed the UKS gallery and audience in a miniature theatrical tableau, presented as a free cut-and-fold poster for visitors to assemble.
